Decorative Crosswalks | Town Center
In preparation for the first phases of economic development, the Village's Town Center Crosswalk Improvement Project began Summer 2019. The extensive project will enhance pedestrian accessibility and safety within Town Center. The improvements will be constructed to three intersections along Sauk Trail @ Governors Hwy, Richton Rd, and Richton Sq Rd. The pedestrian accessibility improvements are ADA compliant and include hi-visibility decorative crosswalks, sidewalks, pedestrian curb ramps, and pedestrian modifications to traffic signals.
The improvements will be constructed at each of the three intersection separately beginning with Sauk Trail at Governors Highway. The construction is anticipated to continue through the summer of 2019. Construction work zones are required to perform the construction. Ample warning and relevant information is posted on signage in advance of and throughout a work zone. Please be alert and pay attention to these signs so that you can travel safely through work zones.
