Permits

Properties located within the Village of Richton Park, both residential and commercial, which have an active burglar alarm system, must purchase an alarm permit and register the property with the Police Department. The alarm permit has an annual fee of $20.00 for residential permits and $35.00 for commercial permits. Permit holders are required to update information requested on the permit as that information changes.

 Annually, the Police Department will send out billing invoices for false alarms that were responded to by our officers. Those invoices are sent in May. If a property has an alarm permit registered with the Police Department they are allowed two false alarm responses, without being charged, in the billing period. If the property does not have an alarm permit on file, the registered owner will be charged after the first false alarm response by our officers.
