The Chief of Police is responsible for the management and leadership of the Richton Park Police Department. Below is a list of the different divisions:
ADMINISTRATION DIVISION
The Administration Division is commanded by the Chief of Police whose primary responsibility is to provide general management direction and control for the Administration Division. The Administrative Division consists of Technical and Administrative Services.
OPERATIONS DIVISION
The Operations Division is commanded by the Deputy Chief of Police whose primary responsibility is to provide general management direction and control for that division. The Operations Division consists of Uniformed Patrol and Special Operations, which includes Traffic and Community Service Officers.
INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION
The Investigations Division is commanded by the Deputy Chief of Police whose primary responsibility is to provide general management direction and control for the Investigations Division. The Investigations Division consists of the Investigations Unit, Property/Evidence Inventory, Evidence Technicians and Forensic Services.
RECORDS DIVISION
The Records division is managed by the Records Supervisor whose primary responsibility is to provide general management direction and control for the Records Division. The Records Division consists of General Clerical/Records Staff, Parking and Compliance Ticket Services, Alarm Permits and Billing, LEADS Services and Court Services and Liaison.
