The Richton Park Police Department has been
designated as a secured site for turning in unused prescription drugs. Richton Park Police and Cook County Sheriff's Department have partnered
to offer an easy solution for residents of the Richton Park and
neighboring communities to deposit any expired or unused medication.
Throwing away old medication into the sewer system, water system, or
even depositing it into the garbage often leads to contamination of our
ground and water system. In order to decrease pollution, simply bring
your unused medication, deposit it into the secured bin, and we will
safely depose of the medication in an eco-friendly way. (No liquids or
needles).
