School Resource Officer
The School Resource officer serves in local schools to prevent crime within the school and on campus, serving as a vital resource to students, parents, educators and others. The officer assists in solving problems, maintaining order, and mentoring youth. In addition, the school resource officer presents safety programs to the youth and staff at Rich South Campus High School.
The police department works in cooperation with School District #227 and Rich South High School to deploy a resource officer who works directly out of the school, within the village of Richton Park.
