Brick x Brick | Scholarship Program
We are reinitiating our brick dedication program, now entitled “Brick by Brick,” to help support our Bill Fleming Scholarship.
This scholarship is used “To promote and encourage academic achievement and life-long learning among Richton Park residents.” The scholarship is awarded to high school seniors headed to a college or university, those currently enrolled, and or adult students furthering their education.
The bricks that are purchased will be displayed along the walkway leading to our beautiful Richton Park Community Center.
Now that it is a new year, the Village of Richton Park and Parks & Recreation have designed a new movement to help fund the scholarship program. The new “Brick by Brick” campaign is intended for local businesses, organizations, schools and families to donate to a worthy cause and make their mark in the Richton Park community.
President Reinbold is ecstatic, commenting “We are very proud to have the opportunity to assist our residents in reaching their academic goals. This program has been a success in the past and we are excited to have such great community involvement once again.”
How can you help? We are glad you asked! We are asking for local businesses, families, and organizations to help support this merited scholarship. The bricks that will be installed in front of the community center will serve as your support for the importance of continuing education as well as advertisement for your business or organization. Families are encouraged and welcomed to honor family members, friends, and loved ones as well! Bricks can be inscribed as a dedication, a memorial, an organization’s name/logo, or a message of encouragement.
This year we were fortunate enough to be able to award six deserving students with scholarships through the generosity of our sponsors. Help us continue this tradition. Help us not only continue to make this scholarship fund thrive, presenting the gift of higher education, but to support your community, friends and family, or organization as well!
