About the Village Manager

Appointed by, and operating under the Village President and the Board of Trustees, the Village Manager acts as Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of Richton Park. Responsible for the daily administration of the Village, the Village Manager serves as business manager, attends all Board Meetings, and makes recommendations to the board. 

Along with supervising Village Staff, departments, consultants, projects, and being a leader of substance, progress, development, and professionalism, the Village Manager is also responsible for implementing the policies and directives of the Village President and Board of Trustees.

The role of the Village Manager is to strategically and logistically execute the vision, mission, and brand of Richton Park, and make sure that it is a desired destination, a premier community within the Chicago Southland.

The manager duties include:
  • Preparing a budget for the board’s consideration
  • Recruiting, hiring, and supervising the government’s staff
  • Serving as the board’s chief adviser
  • Carrying out the board’s policies
  • Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the village
