Halloween Safety 1

HALLOWEEN SAFETY GUIDANCE THIS WEEKEND ????

The pandemic is still here, but this year's Halloween season is a little less scary than last year thanks to the safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines.

Most trick-or-treaters are children who are not yet eligible to be vaccinated so it’s extra important for parents to encourage them to take these safety precautions to stay safe and healthy:
  • Plan for outdoor events and dress for the weather
  • Maintain physical distance (3-6 feet) from others outside one’s household when possible
  • Incorporate a cloth or mask into your costume
  • Trick-or-Treat in small groups outdoors, or during other outdoor activities
  • Wash hands before eating candy
  • Take extra precautions where rates are high
  • The best precautionary measure for the holiday season is for those who are eligible (12 years old and up) to get vaccinated
  • Everyone 6 months and older are recommended to get the seasonal flu vaccine.
Trick-Or-Treating hours the following day, Sunday October 31 are from 3pm-8pm.

Also, don't forget about the "Trail-O-Treats 2021" with Richton Park Parks and Rec Saturday from 2pm to 4pm at Glaeser Park!
