2020 Strategic Plan Participation & Focus Groups

The Village of Richton Park is embarking on a very important strategic planning process to assure the direction, continuing success, and improvement for the next 5 years.

The Village Board as well as Staff value your opinion, as YOU are the key stakeholders in Richton Park. Your views about the Village and its future are vital to the strategic planning process. We need your input on Village government and how it can best serve the community.

There are THREE (3) options to participate:
• Complete the online Citizen Survey - Available online & on social media January 14, 2020
• Participate in one of two (2) Focus Groups:
- Wednesday, January 15, 2020 | 6:30p - 9:30p @ Community Center
- Wednesday, January 29, 2020 | 6:30p - 9:30p @ Community Center

RSVPs are not required, but encouraged.

Each session will be facilitated by Jeff Cohn of “Brave Dialogue.” Materials will be prepared for each participant.

Please keep in mind that the Village is directly responsible for the following major services: police, fire, public works (streets, sidewalks, storm water management, water/sewer service, snow plowing, parkway trees), zoning and land use, and building permits and inspections. The Village is also responsible for popular events such as Fall Fest and Resident Appreciation Day, but it is not directly responsible for Library, Elementary, or High School programming.

The survey results will be posted on the Village website after review by the Village Board. It is anticipated that the draft strategic plan will be completed later this summer and then adopted at a Village Board Meeting and posted on the Village website.
